Family Day 2020 English

Tournament Rule Book:

SATURDAY 4 and SUNDAY 5 APRIL 2020

The Tournament is intended for children born in 2010 and younger (girls born in 2009 and younger).

Team rosters must be sent by email (info@hockeycortina.com) using the attached form: the registration form should be completely filled in. Deadline: February 29th, 2020.

If possible, the participating teams should bring two uniforms with different colors.

Team compositions:

  1. Each team must participate with a minimum of 12 players + 1 goalkeeper.
  2. The teams play with fixed lines with coloured bands (red, blue, yellow. Each team has to bring its own coloured bands).
  3. If it is not possible to set up a team with the minimum number of players (point 1), the following table has to be applied:

a. 11 players: 4 red band, 4 blue band, 3 yellow band;

b. 10 players: 4 red band, 3 blue band, 3 yellow band;

c. 9 players: 3 per line. Under this nr. of players, the team will not be able to participate in the tournament.

Goalkeepers cannot be replaced by a moving player, except in case of injury.

Qualification Rounds:

The 12 participating teams will be divided in 2 groups of 6.

Finals:

First and second team of each qualification round are qualified for semi-finals.

The remaining teams will play placement finals (round trip).

Duration of matches:

  1. Qualifications: every match lasts 20 minutes with no time stoppage. Shifts take place every 60 seconds, respecting the order defined by the color of the bands.

Breaks for ice cleaning are planned.

  1. Quarter and Semi-finals: every match lasts 20 minutes with no time stoppage. Shifts take place every 60 seconds, respecting the order defined by the color of the bands.
  2. Placements from 3rd to 10th: every match lasts 20 minutes with no time stoppage. Shifts take place every 60 seconds, respecting the order defined by the color of the bands.
  1. Final 1st / 2nd place: The final will last 20 minutes with regular time stoppage according to general rules.

Game Field:

  1. Ice surface will be divided in three parts. Matches will be played on right and left sectors while central area will be used for team benches.
  2. Nets will have normal size and puck will be a regular puck.

Ranking Rules:

  1. Points after a match will be assigned as follows: 3 points for a victory in regulation time, 2 points for a victory after penalty shots, 1 point for a defeat in penalty shots, 0 points for a defeat in regulation time. If the game is undecided at the end of regulation time, victory will be decided by penalty shots. The procedure will begin with 3 (three) different shooters from each team taking alternate shots. If the score is still tied after all shots are taken by each team, the procedure shall continue with a tiebreak shoot-out, using all the players available in the roster.

NB EACH PENALTY SHOT MUST BE TAKEN BY A DIFFERENT PLAYER!!!

  1. Otherwise, during semi-finals and final matches, If the game is undecided at the end of regulation time, victory will be decided by penalty shots. The procedure will begin with 5 (five) different shooters from each team taking alternate shots. If the score is still tied after all shots are taken by each team, the procedure shall continue with a tiebreak shoot-out, using all the players available in the roster.

NB EACH PENALTY SHOT MUST BE TAKEN BY A DIFFERENT PLAYER!!!

  1. In case of a tie in the ranking, priority will be decided according to the following criteria: 1) Higher amount of points in the direct matches 2) Better goal difference in the direct matches 3) Better goal difference in general.
  2. If a minor penalty is called by the referee, the athlete has to leave the ice and his/her team will play the rest of the current shift with one less player.
  3. Rules for line shifts are the same as the first phase of under 10 championship (at the horn players must stop playing the puck and leave the ice while the next line should enter the ice and continue playing).

REFEREES AND TIMEKEEPING:

Referees and timing will be organized by the organizing committee.

If a Match Penalty is assessed to any player, the athlete will be automatically disqualified for the next match.

AWARDS CEREMONY:

The awards ceremony for all participating teams will take place immediately after the final. Athletes must wear their game jersey.

ATTENTION:

The organizing committee has the right to make changes to this Rule Book. In case of changes, news will be shared on time with everybody.

Registration will be officially accepted when the Organizing Committee will receive a copy of the payment and the Inscription Form filled in every part.
